Privacy notice

Last updated 16 October 2026 · Website and email enquiries

Who we are

P & V ELECTRICAL LTD, company number 08662824, is responsible for the personal information covered by this notice. Our company address is 4 Park Lane, Canvey Island, Essex, SS8 7PX.

For privacy questions or requests, email office@pvelectrical.uk.

This notice explains how we handle personal information in website enquiries and related business correspondence. Additional information may apply to particular projects or other activities.

Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address and any name, company details, project information, attachments or other personal information you choose to include.

We normally receive this information directly from you. If someone makes an enquiry on your behalf, we may receive your contact details and enquiry information from that person. Please send only information needed for your enquiry.

Providing information for an initial enquiry is voluntary. If essential contact or project information is missing, we may be unable to answer your enquiry or arrange the requested work.

How we use your information

We use relevant information to answer enquiries, discuss and arrange work, communicate about projects, maintain business records and deal with questions or complaints.

Our lawful basis depends on the purpose:

How long we keep correspondence

Relevant business correspondence may be retained for five years or longer where necessary. The period depends on the enquiry or project, an ongoing business relationship, any applicable record-keeping requirement and whether the information is needed to resolve a relevant complaint or legal claim.

This is not a minimum period for every email, nor permission to keep personal information indefinitely. Information that is no longer needed for these purposes is subject to deletion or anonymisation. You can contact us to ask about the retention of information relating to you.

Who receives your information

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, provided by Cloudflare. Our company email is provided through Google Workspace. Relevant historical correspondence is also retained in existing Google/Gmail mailboxes. Google processes information as part of providing these services.

Where necessary for the purposes above, correspondence may also be shared with the people involved in dealing with your enquiry or project, professional advisers or a public authority where disclosure is legally required. Any sharing must be limited to the information needed for its purpose.

Processing outside the UK

Google operates internationally, so information handled by its services may be processed outside the UK. Where a restricted transfer occurs, an applicable UK adequacy arrangement or appropriate contractual safeguards are required.

For Google Workspace, Google states that transfers of UK personal information to Google LLC in the United States are covered by its certification to the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Other relevant transfers are addressed through the mechanisms in Google’s data processing terms, including contractual safeguards where applicable. See Google’s transfer information, or contact us to ask about applicable safeguards and how to obtain a copy. For historical correspondence in separate Gmail mailboxes, Google’s applicable service and privacy terms govern that processing; contact us for the information relevant to your correspondence.

Website information and cookies

This website uses Cloudflare Pages to deliver its pages and protect the service. Cloudflare receives technical request information such as your IP address, the requested page, request time and browser or device information. Our lawful basis for delivery and necessary security processing is our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure company website.

Cloudflare and its service providers may process technical information internationally. Its data processing addendum sets out transfer arrangements, including the Data Privacy Framework where applicable and contractual safeguards with the UK Addendum for relevant restricted transfers. Contact us for details of applicable safeguards or a copy.

Technical information is retained for the time needed to deliver, secure and maintain the service and meet applicable legal obligations. Cloudflare applies retention criteria based on these purposes, the nature of the data and legal requirements, as explained in its privacy policy. The five-year correspondence period above does not apply to ordinary website requests.

We have not added advertising trackers, analytics scripts, an enquiry form or embedded maps. We do not maintain a separate visitor-tracking database. Necessary service or security cookies may be used by Cloudflare when its protections require them; see its cookie information. We do not use optional cookies for advertising or visitor analytics.

Selecting an email link opens your email application; sending a message is your choice. The website does not make decisions about individuals through automated decision-making or profiling.

Your information rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the following rights, depending on the circumstances:

Email office@pvelectrical.uk to exercise a right. These rights are subject to legal conditions and exemptions. We may need to establish your identity before disclosing information. We normally respond within one month; if a lawful extension or another timing rule applies, we will explain this.

Your right to object

You have a right to object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation. If you object, we must stop that processing unless we demonstrate overriding legitimate grounds or need the information for legal claims. Email office@pvelectrical.uk to make an objection.

Questions and complaints

To raise a data protection complaint, email office@pvelectrical.uk and explain your concern. Using “Privacy complaint” as the subject helps us identify it, but is not a requirement.

We will confirm receipt within 30 days. We will investigate appropriately, keep you informed and communicate the outcome without undue delay.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator. The ICO normally asks you to raise your concern with the organisation first.
